Alyssa Maxon, trained facilitator and all around fun person!

Alyssa Maxon is an Agile Learning Facilitator (ALF) who works with Wildwood ALC to fully support self-directed education, and foster positive learning relationships with kids that are both rooted in trust, and empathy. The ALC Model deeply resonates with Alyssa, and Wildwood has since influenced every facet of her life. The tools she’s learned here about communication, perspective taking, and deep listening have transformed many relationships and daily interactions for her. At Wildwood, she often leads team-building challenges, fun games, science lessons, walks in the woods, and many other requests. Before Wildwood, Alyssa was involved in outdoor education and working as a Marine Educator in the Florida Keys and the Bahamas. One of her favorite projects to work on involved documenting species biodiversity and abundance of fresh water turtles and west indian manatees in Crystal River, Fl. Alyssa holds a Bachelors of Science in Marine Science from the University of Florida.
