Ali is a Wildwood Agile Learning Facilitator, Program Director and board member. Ali has worked in a variety of educational settings, and was always inspired by self-directed and democratic education practices. Ali began unschooling in 2016 and became part of the Wildwood community in 2018 as a parent and volunteer. As a facilitator, they aim to empower children to pursue their interests and discover new passions . They work to create a safe space for all to learn and express themselves authentically. Their other interests include; studying edible and medicinal plants, creating, swimming, mindfulness, and dancing like no one is watching. They earned their degree in Elementary Education from Chaminade University of Honolulu in 2004 and hold a license in grades K- 6.
